RED PANIC BUTTON IS AVAILABLE ON ANDROID WEAR DEVICES
Starting with version 3.0.68 of the Red Panic Button support for Android Wear smartwatches has been added. The smartwatch app is automatically installed on the watch when the handheld app is installed or upgrade. To initiate a panic alert just open the Red Panic Button watch app and the app will inform your emergency contacts of your emergency and your location. During the alert process messages are sent to the smartwatch app to provide visual feedback regarding alert process.
For everything to work properly the following conditions must be met:
- The Android Wear app needs to be installed on your phone – Android Wear Smartwatch
- Bluetooth must be turned on on both devices, the mobile phone and the smartwatch.
- The watch must be connected to the Android Phone. The Android Wear application will report the status of the connection.
- Red Panic Button version 3.0.68 or higher needs to be installed on the Android phone.
- Enable the usage of Android Wear inside the Red Panic Button phone app. This is done from the Wearables screen that is accessible from the side menu.

ANDROID COMPATIBILITY
The Red Panic Button watch app works with any smartphone using Android 4.3 or newer with Bluetooth 4.0.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY
The Android Wear devices communicate with the phone using Bluetooth so this has to be enabled at all times when the use of the application is required. All the connectivity is managed by the Android Wear application.
NETWORK CONNECTIVITY
The Android Wear application can communicate with the Smartwatch through WI-FI and Mobile Data (3G, 4G or LTE) if the Smartwatch has this capability.
